Softball Recap: Jonesboro Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Jonesboro's offense. They lost 18-0 to the Bryant Hornets on Thursday. The Hurricane have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Jonesboro saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braylynn Calloway, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Jonesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Bryant, they pushed their record up to 19-1 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Jonesboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bryant, they will take on Vilonia at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
