Baseball Recap: Indian Springs Wins Going Away Against Pacific

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against San Bernardino, Indian Springs was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Pacific Pirates 16-4. The win continues a trend for the COYOTES in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won nine in a row.

Marco Arredondo made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off ten hits. Arredondo was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Trevor Nadeau, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gio Alonzo, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Indian Springs' victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Pacific, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

Indian Springs will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pirates: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
