Baseball Recap: North Platte Takes a Loss

North Platte fell victim to Crete and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 2-0. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Cade Freeze was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

North Platte's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Crete, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-11 record this season.

North Platte will be taking part in a tournament against Standing Bear at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs are facing the Grizzlies at the right time seeing as the Grizzlies are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Crete does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
