Basketball Recap: Gloucester City Find Success

Gloucester City won the last time they faced Gateway Regional, and Marcus Flagg did his part to make sure it happened again. The Gloucester City Lions breezed by the Gateway Regional Gators to the tune of 70-23 on Tuesday thanks in part to Flagg, who went 10 for 13 on his way to 21 points along with five assists and four steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Jake Smith, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times he's played.

Gloucester City's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Gateway Regional, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gloucester City will head out to face off against Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gateway Regional has already played their next game (against Mastery), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
