The Malcolm Clippers will face off against Guardian Angels Central Catholic/West Point Beemer at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. On Thursday, Malcolm made easy work of Centennial and carried off a 16-1 victory. Considering the Clippers have won 16 contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cayden Robotham looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Chase Smith was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Justin Wisnieski, who went 1-for-2 with three runs and three RBI.
Malcolm kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Guardian Angels Central Catholic/West Point Beemer was able to grind out a solid win over Douglas County West on Thursday, taking the game 5-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Guardian Angels Central Catholic/West Point Beemer.
Logan Rolf made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off nine hits. He has become a key player for Guardian Angels Central Catholic/West Point Beemer: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-8 otherwise. Rolf was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Elliot Reeson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Isaac Guenther was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Malcolm's victory bumped their record up to 23-2. As for Guardian Angels Central Catholic/West Point Beemer, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Malcolm has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Guardian Angels Central Catholic/West Point Beemer struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
