Basketball Recap: Royal Skates Past Harmony School of Innovation with Ease

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Royal on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Harmony School of Innovation Mustangs out of the water with a 74-47 final score. With that victory, the Falcons brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Royal to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tremaine Prophet, who posted 15 points and six rebounds. What's more, Prophet also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mikey Lang, who scored 11 points along with five assists and four steals.

Royal smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in ten consecutive matchups.

Royal has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-16 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Harmony School of Innovation, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Royal didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-51 win against Sealy on the 24th. As for the Mustangs, they will square off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
