Softball Recap: Moriarty Comes Up Short

Moriarty lost against Los Alamos on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Pintos fell just short of the Hilltoppers by a score of 8-7. The Pintos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sienna Rios was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Antonette Tumale also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Moriarty's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Los Alamos, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5-1.

Coming up, Moriarty is taking a road trip to take on Taos at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Los Alamos, they will face off against Espanola Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hilltoppers are facing the Sundevils at the right time seeing as the Sundevils are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
