Baseball Recap: Wauseon Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Wauseon took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Archbold, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Indians' pitchers stepped up to hand the Blue Streaks a 2-0 shutout on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Indians have posted since May 10, 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Wauseon and bumps their season record up to 3-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Archbold, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-4.

Coming up, Wauseon is taking a road trip to square off against Bellevue at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Archbold, they will be playing at home against Edgerton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
