Basketball Recap: Downey Christian Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Downey Christian played against Quality Education Academy and won via forfeit.

Downey Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adrian Baah, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points and six assists. Those six assists gave Baah a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maylon Marte, who went 6 for 10 en route to 14 points and six rebounds.

Baah wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Downey Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Downey Christian, bringing their record for this year to 12-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Quality Education Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 13-10 record.

Downey Christian will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Specially Fit Academy at 7:00 p.m. As for Quality Education Academy, they will square off against Oak Hill Academy Red at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
