Baseball Recap: Marist Takes a Loss

Marist was the 6-1 winner over Stayton when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by exactly three runs.

Marist's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Stayton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marist will square off against St. Helens at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Stayton, they will head out to face off against Pleasant Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
