Volleyball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crescent Valley Raiders. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crescent Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lela Campos, who had five digs and three aces. Campos is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Karsyn Horn was another key player, getting nine digs and three aces.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Crescent Valley, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Central will challenge rival Woodburn at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Crescent Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe McKay at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
