Wasilla has gone a perfect 4-0 against Kodiak recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bears at 9:00 a.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Wasilla is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Service, who was ranked sixth at the time (Wasilla was ranked third). The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Cougars on Wednesday. The game was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Wasilla it sure didn't stay that way.

Meanwhile, Kodiak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Houston, falling 4-1.

Wasilla's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-3-1. As for Kodiak, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Wasilla took their win against Kodiak in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
