Cullman hadn't done well against Hillcrest recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Cullman came out on top in a nail-biter against Hillcrest, sneaking past 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bearcats have posted since February 28th.

The victory got Cullman back to even at 8-8. As for Hillcrest, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Cullman Bearcats duke it out with Spain Park Jaguars at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Spain Park will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Cullman surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hillcrest, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Northside on the 25th.
