Sunnyside has gone 10-0 against Hoover recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Sunnyside Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the Hoover Patriots at 5:00 p.m. Sunnyside will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Sunnyside's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They beat Sanger West by a goal, winning 1-0. The Wildcats' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five contests.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Ruben Benitez, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Hoover can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They and Madera finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw. The result was nothing new for the Patriots as the squad haven't won a game since January 7th.

Sunnyside's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-5-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matchups. With that draw, Hoover's record moves to 7-13-1.

Sunnyside was able to grind out a solid win over Hoover in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sunnyside since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
