St. Mary's Academy skates past Omaha R with ease

Recap: St. Mary's Academy Crusaders vs. Omaha R Roadrunners
The St. Mary's Academy Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 28 points or more this season. They blew past Omaha R, posting a 57-27 victory at home. The win was just what St. Mary's Academy needed coming off of a 64-24 defeat in their prior contest.
Leading St. Mary's Academy to victory were Thomas Garland and Nick Whitehead . Garland scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and seven assists, while Whitehead scored 15 points along with five rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Whitehead has scored at least 25% of St. Mary's Academy's points. Josh Knueper was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
St. Mary's Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Omaha R, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
St. Mary's Academy will head out on the road to face off against Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Omaha R won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Faith Christian Academy on January 6th. Hopefully Faith Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
