Softball Recap: St. Pius X Takes a Loss

After flying high against Klein Forest last Friday, St. Pius X came back down to earth. The St. Pius X Panthers fell just short of the Kinkaid Falcons by a score of 5-4 on Friday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

St. Pius X saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kennedy Flenner 2026, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

St. Pius X's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-1. As for Kinkaid, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1-1.

Coming up, St. Pius X will square off against San Marcos at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Pius X's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so San Marcos' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Kinkaid, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Weimar at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
