Volleyball Recap: San Simon Takes a Loss

If San Simon was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Baboquivari on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Longhorns came up short against the Patagonia Lobos on Friday, falling 3-0. The Longhorns haven't had much luck with the Lobos recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Alyzon Corrales paced San Simon's offense, picking up three kills. Corrales got some help from Alexia Newell and her three assists. Newell was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

San Simon's loss dropped their record down to 16-15. As for Patagonia, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

San Simon has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against The Gregory School on the 1st. As for Patagonia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against St. David on the 1st.
