Baseball Game Preview: San Juan Hills Stallions vs. El Toro Chargers

For the second straight game, San Juan Hills will face off against El Toro. The Stallions will square off against the Chargers at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (San Juan Hills 3.6, El Toro 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

San Juan Hills fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against El Toro on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Stallions have suffered since February 28th.

For El Toro's part, Anthony Chapuis was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 8.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Chapuis has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Talen Nodalo was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-5. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenny Park, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

The win was the seventh in a row for El Toro, bringing their record up to 9-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games. As for San Juan Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
