            Volleyball Recap: Butternut Midgets vs. Mellen Granite Diggers        
        
		
        
        
            Butternut lost to Mellen  back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Midgets walked away with  a   2-0  victory over the Granite Diggers. That looming  2-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Midgets yet this  season.
 While Butternut won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22,  25-20.

 Lizzie Pritzl was nothing short of spectacular: she  had six  aces and four  digs. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  assists (13).
 Pritzl wasn't the only good server: Butternut  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 13  aces. That's the most  aces they've managed all season.
The  win  got Butternut back to even at 4-4. As for Mellen, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Butternut has already played their next contest,  a  2-0  victory against Phelps on the 30th. Mellen has also already played their next  match (against Hurley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
