Football Recap: Uniontown Comes Up Short

Uniontown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Martins Ferry Purple Riders and fell 49-13.

Uniontown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Martins Ferry, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Uniontown will challenge Ironton at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Fighting Tigers' defense has only allowed 10.8 points per game this season, so the Red Raiders' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Martins Ferry, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Buckeye Local at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
