Basketball Game Preview: Brighton Charter Tigers vs. Our Lady of the Sun Academy Angels

Brighton Charter and Our Lady of the Sun Academy are an even 3-3 against one another since November of 2019, but not for long. The Brighton Charter Tigers will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Our Lady of the Sun Academy Angels at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Back in December of 2024, Brighton Charter was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-50 to Jefferson Prep.

Meanwhile, Our Lady of the Sun Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-60 heartbreaker at the hands of Jefferson Prep.

Brighton Charter dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Our Lady of the Sun Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Brighton Charter was taken down by Our Lady of the Sun Academy 60-18 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Brighton Charter, Peter Reiss III (who went 7 of 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 28 points in addition to seven boards and four steals) won't be suiting up this time.
