Basketball Recap: Nottoway Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lunenburg Central last Thursday, Nottoway came back down to earth. The Nottoway Cougars had to suffer through a 43-16 loss at the hands of the Person Rockets. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Nottoway has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Person, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Prince Edward County the next time they take the court. Person will head out to face Prince Edward County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Nottoway will host them at 6:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
