Volleyball Recap: Winona Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Winona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Malakoff Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Winona took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-14, 25-20.

Winona's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Malakoff, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Winona is set to face off against their familiar foe Mineola at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Malakoff will take on rival Edgewood at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
