Volleyball Recap: New Bern Finds Playoff Glory Versus Overhills + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but New Bern had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Overhills Jaguars as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Bears as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-9, 25-12.

Peyton Finch paced New Bern's offense, picking up eight kills. Finch got some help from Naomi Banks and her 30 assists. Adalyn Townsend controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

New Bern's record is now 13-9. As for Overhills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

New Bern will take on Chapel Hill on Tuesday. Overhills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
