Garner came out on top against Laney on Friday thanks in part to Tayden McPhatter's efforts. McPhatter forced one fumble, made five total tackles, and defended two passes. The performance also marked the most receiving yards (ten) he has had since back in October of 2024.

McPhatter and Garner will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Middle Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
