Baseball Recap: Atlantic Christian's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

Atlantic Christian dropped their record down to 11-5 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Lower Cape May Tigers, falling 7-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Cougars couldn't push the score so high this time.

Atlantic Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Knuth, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

As for Lower Cape May, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-15. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games.

On Lower Cape May's side, Drew Kronemeyer was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Kronemeyer a new career-high. Joe McCorrstion was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Coming up, Atlantic Christian will look to defend their home field on Monday against Gloucester County Christian at 4:00 p.m. As for Lower Cape May, they will welcome Wildwood at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
