Recap: Box Elder Bees vs. Northridge Knights
The Box Elder Bees lost to the Northridge Knights back in February of 2023, but the Box Elder Bees didn't allow the Northridge Knights the same satisfaction on Friday. Box Elder enjoyed a cozy 52-38 victory over Northridge.
Madi Thurgood was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with three blocks and two steals. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Kaydence Barber was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with four steals.
Box Elder's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Northridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
Box Elder will be playing in front of their home fans against Bonneville at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Bonneville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while Box Elder is ranked 34th). As for Northridge, they will head out on the road to square off against Viewmont at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Viewmont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
