Football Recap: Grace Baptist Academy Comes Up Short

Grace Baptist Academy fell victim to Middle Tennessee Christian and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 63-0 loss at the hands of the Cougars. The loss leaves the Golden Eagles still looking for their first win of the season.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Shy Murphy and Alie Bangura. Murphy rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries while Bangura rushed for 129 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries. Those 151 rushing yards gave Murphy a new career-high. Riley Brown got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Grace Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Middle Tennessee Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Grace Baptist Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 25-6 loss against Sale Creek on the 19th. As for Middle Tennessee Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 42-35 victory against Concord Christian on the 19th.
