Basketball Recap: Sperry Takes a Loss

Sperry extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-5. They had to suffer through an 81-28 loss at the hands of the Riverfield Country Day Ravens. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Ravens are ranked 21st).

As for Riverfield Country Day, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Max Harper continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 17 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Stone Loosvelt, who posted 13 points.

Sperry didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 80-41 defeat against Mingo Valley Christian on the 13th. As for Riverfield Country Day, they have also already played their next game, a 53-44 victory against Webster on the 12th.
