Basketball Recap: Gabriel Richard's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Gabriel Richard had to endure a four-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged the Franklin Patriots out 35-33. For the Fighting Irish, this counts as revenge for the 39-37 victory the Patriots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Franklin's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kameron Dale, who posted seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Goines, who scored eight points.

The win got Gabriel Richard back to even at 1-1. As for Franklin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Gabriel Richard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-18 victory against Greenhills on the 13th. As for Franklin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-55 win against Berkley on the 13th.
