Baseball Game Preview: La Crosse Logan Rangers vs. La Crosse Central Riverhawks

For the second straight game, La Crosse Logan will face off against La Crosse Central. The Rangers will challenge the Riverhawks at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

La Crosse Logan barely beat La Crosse Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rangers put the hurt on the Riverhawks with a sharp 15-5 win on Monday. The Rangers haven't had any issues with the Riverhawks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

For La Crosse Central's part, Erik Ramseier was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Derrick Pangier also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

La Crosse Logan pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for La Crosse Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
