Football Recap: Gateway Olympians vs. Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks
Saturday just wasn't the day for Gateway's offense. They had to suffer through a 44-0 loss at the hands of the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks.
Westin Rayburn threw for 138 yards on 13 of 24 attempts.
Forrest Clemmons was his top target, picking up 56 receiving yards. On the ground,
Lyric Wynn rushed for 53 yards, and also picked up 36 receiving yards.
Tyler Kriss continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cheyenne Mountain, picking up 131 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 51 yards. Kriss' longest reception was for an incredible 99 yards. Donovan Rojas was in the mix as well, providing Cheyenne Mountain with a touchdown.
Gateway has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Cheyenne Mountain, their record now sits at 7-3.
