Sevier County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They blew past the Farragut Admirals 27-7. Winning may never get old, but the Smoky Bears sure are getting used to it with their 16th in a row dating back to last season.

Sevier County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bryson Headrick led the charge by rushing for 36 yards and one touchdown, while also picking up 33 receiving yards and one TD. The Smoky Bears also got a significant boost from Nathan Patterson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 97 yards.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sevier County will host Jefferson County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Farragut, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Powell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
