Volleyball Recap: Deuel Comes Up Short

Deuel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots.

Hitchcock-Tulare can attribute much of their success to Cambree Hoekman, who had 15 digs and two assists. Hoekman is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 13 games she's played dating back to last season.

Deuel's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Hitchcock-Tulare, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Deuel didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Clark/Willow Lake on the 13th. As for Hitchcock-Tulare, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Britton-Hecla on the 13th.
