Volleyball Recap: La Grange Leopards vs. Sotomayor WILDCATS
La Grange saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Sotomayor WILDCATS by a score of 2-1.
Sotomayor's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Julieta Munoz led the charge by getting six digs and two aces. Those six digs gave Munoz a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Marina Soliz, who had 11 digs.
La Grange's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Sotomayor, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Coming up, La Grange will challenge Lockhart at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Leopards are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Sotomayor, they will face off against Brennan at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the WILDCATS' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
