Softball Recap: South Fremont Starts Season with Loss at Home

South Fremont unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Meridian Warriors on Friday, falling 25-4.

South Fremont saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charly Stoddard, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. Another was Leah Lehmann, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meridian's win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Looking ahead, South Fremont will be playing at home against Centennial at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. South Fremont's pitchers better be ready for this one: Centennial has averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Meridian, they will head out to take on Moscow at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
