Basketball Recap: Klein Collins Piles Up the Points Against La Marque

Klein Collins was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against La Marque on Thursday. The Tigers took their contest with ease, bagging a 93-22 win over the Cougars.

Klein Collins' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hailey Neal led the charge by going 10-for-18 on her way to 25 points and seven boards. The dominant performance also gave Neal a new career-high in blocks (two). Jayla Mayes was another key player, shooting 64% from the field en route to 16 points along with six assists and six rebounds.

Klein Collins smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Klein Collins now has a winning record of 2-1. As for La Marque, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.
