Basketball Recap: Clinton School Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

They fell just short of The Young Women's Leadership School of Astoria Phoenix by a score of 49-47 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Clinton School has suffered since January 30, 2024.

Clinton School's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Alessandra Stotz, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 21 boards, and Kate Stanley, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. Stotz has been hot, having posted ten or more boards the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Charley Luckman, who posted eight points and seven rebounds.

Clinton School's loss dropped their record down to 17-11. As for The Young Women's Leadership School of Astoria, their win bumped their record up to 14-2.
