Basketball Recap: Central Lee Piles Up the Points Against New London

The third road game was the charm for Central Lee, as they earned their first road win of the season. They claimed a resounding 62-24 victory over the New London Tigers. That's more bragging rights for the Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Central Lee now has a winning record of 3-2. As for New London, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Central Lee Hawks challenge the West Burlington Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Burlington will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Central Lee surely won't give up without a fight. As for New London, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-49 defeat against Columbus on the 19th.
