Quitman barely beat Choudrant the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Quitman Wolverines blew past the Choudrant Aggies 20-1 on Tuesday. The Wolverines' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Brenna Lamkin made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Kinsley Ponder was incredible, scoring a run while going 4-for-5. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Karley Huckaby was another key player, scoring four runs while going 1-for-3.
Quitman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
