Softball Recap: Depaul Catholic Has No Trouble Against Passaic

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask DePaul Catholic). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Passaic Indians a 15-0 shutout on Wednesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The win made it two in a row for DePaul Catholic and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Passaic, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, DePaul Catholic will head out on the road to challenge Immaculate Heart Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 2.8, the Blue Eagles 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Passaic, they will welcome Bergen Tech at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
