Softball Game Preview: Biggs Wolverines vs. Hamilton Braves

For the second straight game, Biggs will face off against Hamilton. The Wolverines will be playing at home against the Braves at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Biggs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.3 runs per game this season.

Biggs barely beat Hamilton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolverines never let the Braves get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Tuesday. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Gracie Sheppard made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Sheppard wasn't the only one making solid contact as eight players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lyllian Baxter, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those two hits gave Baxter a new career-high. Mailey Seipert was another, going 2-for-5 with two runs.

Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Biggs, their victory bumped their record up to 17-3-1.
