Baseball Recap: Romulus Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Romulus's offense. They came up short against the Melvindale Cardinals on Wednesday, falling 20-0. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost three in a row.

Romulus' defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Melvindale, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.

Romulus will square off against Robichaud at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Melvindale, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-2 win against Cabrini on the 15th.
