League recap: Hale tops West Seattle to extend winning streak

3A Metro - Sound recap October 29, 2013

Hale extended the longest winning streak in 3A Metro - Sound this week by beating West Seattle, 55-0. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.

The Wildcats fell to Hale 55-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Ingraham's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ryan Kyle threw for 29 yards and Marcus Lauder had 17 yards receiving. On the ground Emmery Porter chipped in 145 yards.

The Rams' dynamic duo of Kyle and Lauder proved to be unstoppable against Chief Sealth, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Porter provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Ingraham fell to the Seahawks.

Cleveland's Amont? Phillips and Dale Daniels led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Phillips has thrown for 927 yards this season, while Daniels has 25 catches for 460 yards. James Flowers from Franklin leads the league in rushing with 879 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Hale takes on second place Cleveland.

The Eagles and Rainier Beach played the closest game in 3A Metro - Sound this week, with the Eagles eventually emerging with a 35-29 victory.
