Basketball Preview: Alpharetta Raiders vs. Lassiter Trojans
The Alpharetta Raiders will head out on the road to square off against the Lassiter Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Alpharetta strolled past the Gladiators with points to spare, taking the game 60-42.
Meanwhile, even though Sprayberry scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, Lassiter still came out on top. Lassiter managed a 64-58 victory over the Yellow Jackets. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lassiter.
Kyhir Torrence and Aidyn Davis were among the main playmakers for Lassiter as the former scored 20 points along with five rebounds and two steals and the latter scored 21 points along with two blocks. Jay Chege was another key contributor, scoring three points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Alpharetta is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Lassiter, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-6.
Alpharetta came up short against the Trojans in their previous matchup back in January, falling 63-50. Can Alpharetta avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
