Basketball Recap: All Saints' Academy Takes a Loss

All Saints' Academy and City of Life Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but All Saints' Academy had to settle for second. They took a blow against the City of Life Christian Academy Warriors, falling 71-33. The Saints just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

All Saints' Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jafar Curry JR, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Matthews, who had 13 points.

Nathan Thompson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for City of Life Christian Academy, putting up 19 points and three steals. Thompson has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last three times he's played. Isaac Manlove was another key player, earning 12 points and six boards.

All Saints' Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for City of Life Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

All Saints' Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for City of Life Christian Academy, they will square off against Victory Christian Academy on Saturday. One thing working in Victory Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 contests.
