Basketball Game Preview: Central Crossing Comets vs. Hilliard Davidson Wildcats

Central Crossing hasn't had much luck against Hilliard Davidson recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Central Crossing Comets will host the Hilliard Davidson Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Central Crossing will be strutting in after a win while Hilliard Davidson will be coming in after a defeat.

While Central Crossing didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Heath by a score of 50-37 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Comets.

Savannah Hamilton continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 10 for 16 on her way to 25 points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Cordelia Watkins, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.

Central Crossing smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in ten consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Hilliard Davidson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. 2025 welcomed they with a 58-35 loss courtesy of Dublin Scioto.

Central Crossing's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Hilliard Davidson, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.
