Football Recap: Pinkston Vikings vs. Arlington Heights Yellowjackets
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 55-24, which was the final score in the Pinkston Vikings's tilt against the Arlington Heights Yellowjackets on Thursday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Arlington Heights found their leader in underclassman Carson James, who rushed for 93 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries. That's the most total yards James has posted since back in September of 2023. Another player making a difference was Kaeden Grant, who threw for 130 yards and two touchdowns on only eight passes.
Pinkston's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Arlington Heights, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Pinkston will look to defend their home field on Friday against McCallum at 7:00 p.m. As for Arlington Heights, they will face off against North Side at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
