Basketball Game Preview: Canfield Cardinals vs. Harding Raiders

The Canfield Cardinals will head out on the road to square off against the Harding Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canfield has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 188 points over their last three matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Canfield challenged Howland on Tuesday. Canfield took down Howland 56-37. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Tigers are ranked 259th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Harding was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Boardman 79-46. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Harding has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for Canfield, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Canfield came up short against Harding in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 54-49. Can Canfield avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
