After starting their season with two straight games on the road, Jeff Davis is finally coming home. They will be defending their home-field for the first time when they go up against the Charlton County Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Jeff Davis took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 44-12 win over Rutland.

Colby Beach was a one-man wrecking crew for Jeff Davis as he rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also threw for 70 yards and two touchdowns on only five passes. With that strong performance, Beach is now averaging an impressive 112 rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was Kyrice Hunt, who rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns.

Hunt wasn't the only one working in the rushing yards department: Jeff Davis was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 289 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rutland only rushed for 53.

Jeff Davis wouldn't let Rutland keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Josh Worthington, Kobe Hill, and Kace Galbreath picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, while Charlton County put up some points on Friday, the same can't be said for McIntosh County Academy. Charlton County took down McIntosh County Academy 19-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Jeff Davis' victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Charlton County, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-0.

Jeff Davis came out on top in a nail-biter against Charlton County in their previous meeting back in August of 2023, sneaking past 23-20. Will Jeff Davis repeat their success, or does Charlton County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
